Paper Women

Violence against women is any gender-based violence act causing or threatening physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women in public or private life. It needs to stop.

If you are a woman who has been abused by a man and you are able, please either share your abuse story with me or let me know the types of abuse you have suffered through a check box survey based on research and the Domestic Abuse Intervention Project, Duluth Minnesota (www.theduluthmodel.org).  I won’t lie – I cried as I was typing out how many recognised ways women are abused.

Your story or your experience will be used to create an artwork – one woman per response, forming part of a chain of women. The artwork will be used as an exhibition piece, but your woman will also be displayed online (if you agree).  All artwork stories will be anonymous and if you submit through Survey Monkey or via post, I will not know who you are.  Please note these photos are of a work in progress – the final artwork may look different.

Any submission at all will be greatly appreciated. By sharing our stories, we make our mark – we create something that can change us, our community and the world. xx

Submission options include:

• Survey Monkey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/85T2YG5)

• Email printchange21@gmail.com with your story, or request a copy of the survey

• Text / leave a message on 0492 366 216 with your story, or request a copy of the survey

• DM me
