Starting to get my creative on for the upcoming @zineverleigh zine fair on 27 July…make sure you save that date if you are a zinester. Last year was awesome and can’t wait for this year to rock around.
And now that I’ve won the battle with my new paper fortune teller/ziney type creation…it is time to start on the snakes & ladders privilege game that I’ve been falling asleep thinking about. 😂❤️
Oh and if you want to check out some of this gear before mid-year, try and get to one of our @geelongzines monthly swap/sells. These have been going off…and contributing greatly to that to do list I mentioned earlier!! 👏 Next one is Sat 16 March.

Sending something out into the atmosphere that you’ve worked hard and long on is always an odd feeling…nerves, excitement and a touch of trepidition thrown in for good measure too.
That is particularly the case with this work, which has already been overthought and overdiscussed to death lol. It finally launches tomorrow in the form of the zine and there is an accompanying website (theprivilegeometer.wordpress.com).
Like most of the stuff I do, I fully expect this will evolve as others get involved, so if you get your hands on a copy of the zine or check out the website and want to discuss it further, bring it on cause I would love to hear your thoughts! There is a feedback page on the website, but any forum is a good forum to discuss privilege and a discussion is exactly what I am trying to start. ❤

Eek!! I can’t believe how many months have gone by since I blogged!! I am so, so sorry. I got way too busy writing the first draft of my first novel (finished now thank goodness) and then my little zine group G: Zines has been going gang-busters.
But I’ve still been tinkering away with Print Change stuff in the background – click here to read the latest zine (Jan 2024). I’m also gearing up for the Festival of the Photocopier (check out Sticky Institute for more info) on Sat Feb 10, where I will launch the zine version of The Privilege-O-Meter….finanly, finally this artwork will be hitting the public arena rather than just rattling around my mind hahahah.

Hi peeps! I know I have been AWOL for ages, so thought I’d drop a post to let you know that a) I am alive and b) I’m thinking of you and hoping you are well.
Lately I’ve been very up and down with some new medications I’ve been trying on for size. What I am seriously hoping is the last change needed started this week, so fingers crossed things keep on improving from here on in.
In good news though, overall I’ve got more energy and I’m starting to catch myself thinking artsy and ziney thoughts…so stay tuned for some stuff that might be starting to happen in that area again.
I’m also doing some fun stuff like getting out and about…and standing under waterfalls in national parks, feeling absolute joy (as my squinty, face breaking smile in this photo suggests hahaha).
I hope you are getting some joy too in whatever you are up to. xx

Recently I had the immense pleasure of being interviewed on radio by Luke and Cora from ‘Zine’ on Yarra Valley FM.
I didn’t know that my husband was recording some of it – I would have flipped out if I had hahaha. But in retrospect it is quite interesting to listen to it back, so thought I would pop it up here in case anyone else wants a listen too. xx
I spent the morning writing about this place today because unfortunately I had to spend a whole lot of time there one night last week.
I’m fine – it was a precautionary measure because I had a mini stroke, which nobody was interested in seeing turn into an acute stroke (particularly me 🤣). But it was most definitely acutely painful to spend 11 hours waiting in this place before I was put into a ward.
It’s kind of funny really, because I was struggling to find my ‘ranty’ article for the upcoming Print Change zine. Queue Wednesday’s episode and that rant runneth over hahaha.
Suffice to say I’m not quite as traumatised by the experience as I was when giving birth in that hospital…but I’m hoping to give the place a wide berth for quite awhile yet. So I will keep getting all the required tests done…and stop eating cake (laying money on that being the problem…it isn’t like I’m a stress head or anything right? 😉).

So, it might not surprise you that when I was asked to go onto a radio show about zines to talk about my work and what we are doing to create a zine space in Geelong I pretty much jumped at the chance!
Besides which, I’ve always had a secret ambition to be on the radio (complements of listening to 3MA back in its hey day hahaha)…so this is my chance. Who said dreams don’t come true? 🤣
